Passenger Side Automatic Door Lock Not Working

This is a cheap and easy fix.
Passenger side automatic door lock not working. Just make sure the key is on. It does open close when i insert the key in the driver side door. Replacing the fuse will correct the problem. If the lock tries to move then the problem could be a frozen lock mechanism or a faulty solenoid.
An inoperative power door lock can be caused by the switch solenoid wiring problem or mechanical problem within the linkage of the affected door. If it s not sending a signal the fob will likely have to be replaced. Chances are your solenoid is burned up or maybe a loose connection. Replacing it may require removing the car door panel.
A fuse is blown. If all of the door locks are inoperative start your diagnosis at the fuse box. Again if one door doesn t work but others do the problem could be with the door lock solenoid. The solenoid is bad.
In most cases vaupell says it s the driver s side door actuator that breaks down because it s used the most. If i insert the key into the passenger side door the lock doesnt open close. All three other door locks respond normally. Inspect the fuse that protects the door lock circuit to ensure it is not blown.
I have an 08 altima 2 5s and two days ago my driver s side door lock stopped working in response to the remote the keyless entry button on the door handle and the lock button on the inside. Have the same problem with my driver side lock i believe i need a new actuator. If one door doesn t work but others do the problem could be a blown fuse. Defrost the lock to check an individual lock mechanism work the door lock manually up and down or backwards and forwards in newer vehicles while using the auto lock button at the same time.
